Allegorical

I am interested in ambiguous narratives that on the surface look innocent but are actually slightly macabre! My allegorical pieces are

largely populated with children taken from turn of the century illustrations and coloring book pages. "Beasties" have long tongues, sharp teeth and usually a child in their belly! Edward Gorey and Henry Darger have been important influences
